Whole Haul

Privacy Policy

About this policy

Whole Haul is an independently operated service based in California, United States. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our meal planner. For privacy questions, contact support@whole-haul.com.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as your email address, name when provided, sign-in identifiers, saved preferences, meal plans, generation activity, and subscription status. Meal-planning inputs may include dietary restrictions, allergies, calorie targets, servings, and instructions. Some inputs may reveal health-related information. Provide only information needed for your plan.

We receive information included in support messages. Our infrastructure also processes technical information, including request timestamps, paths, status codes, service errors, and network information needed to operate and protect the service.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate you, personalize and save plans, generate shopping lists, manage subscriptions and usage limits, respond to support and privacy requests, and maintain service security and reliability.

Providers and disclosures

Google supports Google sign-in. MiniMax processes meal-planning inputs and relevant product or recipe information to generate plans; dietary restrictions and allergies you enter may be included. Stripe processes payments and billing. Whole Haul stores billing identifiers and subscription status; payment-card details are entered through Stripe.

Amazon Web Services provides hosting, storage, and operational monitoring. Email-delivery providers process authentication messages when email sign-in is enabled. OpenAI is used for product and recipe embedding backfills, rather than user meal-plan generation.

Providers may retain or process information under their applicable agreements and policies. We do not promise that AI providers have zero retention or that submitted inputs are excluded from all provider improvement or training uses. Read the MiniMax privacy policy, Stripe privacy policy, and Google privacy policy. Providers may process information outside your state or country.

We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, or secure the service.

Cookies, browser storage, and tracking

We use cookies for sign-in sessions and request security. Browser storage remembers workspace choices and generation progress. Blocking cookies can prevent features from working; clearing storage can reset remembered choices.

Whole Haul does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party audience analytics in its app. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not track your activity across unrelated websites. Browser Do Not Track signals do not change these essential storage functions. Providers such as Google and Stripe may process information when you interact with their services, subject to their own policies.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information, preferences, and saved plans to provide the service. Saved account data is not automatically deleted solely because an account is inactive. You can delete individual saved plans in the app.

To request account deletion, access, or correction, email support@whole-haul.com. We handle requests manually and verify account ownership before acting. Depending on your location, additional privacy rights may apply.

Some records may need to be retained for billing, security, resolving disputes, or legal obligations. Deleted information may remain in backups until those backups expire or are replaced; provider records are subject to their own retention practices. Contact us for information about retention relevant to your request.

Security

We use safeguards intended to protect information, including authenticated access and protections for browser requests. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Children

Whole Haul is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information, contact support so we can investigate and address it.

Changes and contact

We will update the date on this page when our practices change and notify affected users of material changes through an in-app notice or email. Send questions or privacy requests to support@whole-haul.com.
